the social network and freakonomics.

watched both last night.

i liked the social network, well written and the direction was pretty good. jesse eisenberg was zombieland good too. i just thought fincher lost it a bit with that tilt-shifted rowing scene. made me cringe, especially using that awful version of hall of the mountain king.

it was at least better than freakonomics. i should probably read the book, but as documentays go, it was slooowww. there was an interesting thing about corruption in sumo but that was about it. it’s made up of different segments directed by different people (e.g morgan spurlock, someone jarecki etc) but it felt smashed together. plus, some of the vox pops morgan spurlock filmed used actors.
